To whom it may concern.

It is obvious to me that you do not know the first thing about which you
are talking, your web site is talking about advanced concepts, ideas,
and practises that the average person on the street will take as being
commonly recognised, when in fact they are highly debatable. Firstly
according to the Quran 6:19, 38 & 114 God makes it clear that the Quran
is "Complete, perfect and fully detailed". The Hadith is therefore not
required to be used and actually stipulates idol worship, as it
contravenes Gods law in the Quran. The hadith is a bunch of fairy tales
written about the Prophet Mohammad 250 years after his death usually
written by someone who has there own underhanded objectives.

Muslims find the idea of war and aggression distasteful, belligerence
and violence are stated in the Quran as a sign of disbelief.
Muslims are allowed to fight ONLY in self defence against aggression,
oppression and tyranny. As the following verses show:

[2:193] You may also fight them to eliminate oppression, and to worship
GOD freely. If they refrain, you shall not aggress; AGGRESSION is
permitted only against the aggressors.

[7:33] Say, "My Lord prohibits only evil deeds, be they obvious or
hidden, and sins, and unjustifiable AGGRESSION, and to set up beside GOD
powerless idols, and to say about GOD what you do not know."

[4:76] Those who believe are fighting for the cause of GOD, while those
who disbelieve are fighting for the cause of TYRANNY. Therefore, you
shall fight the devil's allies; the devil's power is nil.

Therefore anyone who claims to be a Muslim (submitter to the will of
God) has to abide by the above laws. Hence Osama - Bin - Laden cannot
be considered to be a Muslim. Jihad means "striving for the cause of
God" i.e. fighting against aggression, oppression and tyranny.

It is of course true that all so called Muslim countries are in fact
violating the Quran God provides 5 basic freedoms in a truly Islamic
state 1) ABSOLUTE freedom of religion (hence apostasy is condemned) 2)
GUARANTEED human rights 3) freedom of speech and expression 4) freedom
to trade and 5) freedom to travel.

NO so called Muslim country offers all these rights to its citizens.
There are of course many other misconceptions of Islam for example the
punishment for adultery which ranges between stoning to death or looking
down the business end of a Klastikof riffle.

In actual fact the punishment for adultery can be found in the Quran.

[24:2] The adulteress and the adulterer you shall whip each of them a
hundred lashes. Do not be swayed by pity from carrying out GOD's law, if
you truly believe in GOD and the Last Day. And let a group of believers
witness their penalty.*

*24:2 Social pressure, i.e., public witnessing of the penalty, is the
basic punishment (see also 5:38). The lashes shall be symbolic, not
severe.

Health Quarantine

[4:15] Those who commit ADULTERY among your women, you must have four
witnesses against them, from among you. If they do bear witness, then
you shall keep such women in their homes until they die, or until GOD
creates an exit for them.*

*4:15 A woman witnessed by four people in the act of committing adultery
on four different occasions, with four different partners, represents a
danger to public health. Such a woman is a depository of germs, and a
health quarantine protects the society from her. A good example of an
exit that saves a quarantined woman is marriage - someone may wish to
marry her, and thus protect her and the society.

Shariah Law is a complete disgrace it is based on ancient Arab Bedouin
law, Jewish law, Roman law the opinions of scholars, muftis, different
sect of Islam (the sectularisation of religion is condemned in the Quran
as an act of idolworship), Hadith & Sunna (both satanic innovations,
produced and reciprocated by idol worshippers) NOT God's law. If you
would like to know what the perfect Sunni Hadithist state would look
like look no further than Afghanistan under the Taliban.

Women's dress code is always under debate the fact of the matter is that
the dress code for Muslim women is to cover their chest and lengthen
their dress to appear modest, that is all. The idea of Hijab is a Arab
tradition and has nothing to do with Islam, however some tyrannical Arab
scholars insist it has. In fact it is only an Arabic tradition,
strangely in some tribal groups in Sudan it is the men that wear the
hijab and not the women!!!

[24:31] And tell the believing women to subdue their eyes, and maintain
their chastity. They shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except
that which is necessary. They shall cover their chests, and shall not
relax this code in the presence of other than their husbands, their
fathers, the fathers of their husbands, their sons, the sons of their
husbands, their brothers, the sons of their brothers, the sons of their
sisters, other women, the male servants or employees whose sexual drive
has been nullified, or the children who have not reached puberty. They
shall not strike their feet when they walk in order to shake and reveal
certain details of their bodies. All of you shall repent to GOD, O you
believers, that you may succeed.*

*24:30-31 Dressing modestly, therefore, is a trait of the believing men
and women. The minimum requirements for a woman's dress is to lengthen
her garment (33:59) and to cover her chest. Tyrannical Arab traditions
have given a false impression that women must be covered from head to
toe; Such is not a Quranic or Islamic dress.

I am dismayed that you think that all converts to Islam are terrorists.
In fact I have been to mosques in 3 different continents and never heard
anyone even mention terrorism or any sort of terrorist rhetoric.

Now let me rub it in, far be it for me to criticise a group of people
who predominantly worship a 2000-year-old-corpse, firstly I am surprised
living in South Australia where your governments are decided by which is
the most racist on election day? and where asylum seekers are left to
die at sea, that you would have the cheek to criticise Islam, in fact I
don't mind the criticism its the incitement of religious hatred I can't
stand? also it is O.K. for Australia and the U.S. to commit genocide in
Vietnam (according to an international war crimes tribunal) but when a
nut like Osama - Bin - Laden kills 1800 people in N.Y. we never hear the
end of it and Islam is blamed.

This war on terrorism is conducted by a man George Bush who has already
laid to waste 4,000 civilians in Afghanistan TWICE the number of people
who died on September 11, Who's the terrorist? for every Israeli that
has died since the Palestinian uprising 4 Palestinians have died, who's
the terrorist? the Americans have dropped 7 and a 1/2 times the number
of munitions that were dropped on Hiroshima, Japan - on Iraq, who's the
terrorist? U.S. sanctions have killed 1.5 Million Iraqis since they were
first imposed, who's the terrorist? Colin Powel's platoon committed the
most atrocious massacres in Vietnam making him a genocidal mass
murderer, who's the terrorist? Colin Powel was found guilty of crimes
against peace, war crimes and crimes against humanity (the legal and
technical precursor to genocide) as was George Herbert Walker Bush,
Dansforth Quayle, Dick Cheney and John Major, who's the terrorist? Tony
Blair was found guilty of the same offences as was Gerhard Schroeder,
Bill Clinton & Madeline Albright in their support for strikes on
Yugoslavia so that natural gas could be pipelined through the Balkans
(according to an international war crimes tribunal and were sentenced to
20 years in prison by a belgrade court for the same offences), who's the
terrorist? The best terrorist training camp in the world is in Georgia
in the United States, who's the terrorist? The Americans ran out of
targets to bomb in Korea, who's the terrorist?

Now, if I was to instigate anti-Christian propaganda as anti-Islamic
propaganda has been instigated by Christians I would not find it
incredibly taxing for example I can mention the Crusades ( Ethnic
Cleansing of all Muslims in the Middle East by half of Western Europe.
), Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, KKK, IRA, ETA, UDA, UDF, Chechnya, Bosnia,
World War I, World War II, colonisation, the Slave trade, apartheid etc
etc the list never ends................I don't of course, nor does any
other Muslim, because that would mean lowering my self to the level of
the Christian, which I am not prepared to do.

A final parable for you?

[ Quran 22:73 ] O people, here is a parable that you must ponder
carefully: the idols you set up beside GOD can never create a fly, even
if they banded together to do so. Furthermore, if the fly steals
anything from them, they cannot recover it; weak is the pursuer and the
pursued.

May peace be upon you,
even if the light of truth fails to shine upon you,
and you are swayed indelibly towards inciting religious hatred.

Hello Saqlain,

Thanks for your message. You raise many interesting questions. Firstly let me say that we are not against Muslim people – for example Amina Lawal whose life we are trying to save is a Muslim lady from northern Nigeria. Also our aim is not to stir up religious hatred but to increase understanding of Islam, in particular Islamic law and the human rights abuses it engenders.

You say “Muslims find the idea of war…distasteful”.- but you cannot talk for all Muslims any more than I can talk for all Westerners. [Incidentally Sura 2 which you quoted is the first of the Medinan chapters and Sura 9, his last, is much more belligerent.] In fact you are the first Muslim I have met who dismisses all Sunnah/Hadith. What is more common is for a Muslim to reject unflattering hadith and accept the ones he agrees with.

Of course you must realize that without the Sunnah little is known about Prophet Muhammad. It may well be true that the hadith are spurious and if this were so a lot of objectionable Sharia would be removed. However we work on the principle that they are generally accepted and mould the actions of many Muslims. Our hard copies of the hadith were not bought from an anti-Islamic source but from the local mosque, and the hadith on our web site were downloaded from the Muslim Students Association. So you really need to be telling a lot of this to your fellow Muslims.

If everyone were like you, and Sharia did not exist and jihad was just a peaceful striving for Allah then there would be no need for us to exist.

We do not fit your criticism of us. I personally do not support the Crusaders or am I a Christian for that matter. I was actively opposed to the Vietnam War and took part in many Hiroshima Day marches when I was fitter. If you search through our archives you will find articles against ethnic cleansing in Bosnia and Kosovo and also articles on the effect of sanctions on Iraqi children.

My list could go on. Humanism opposes Christian and Jewish fundamentalisms but it is Islamic fundamentalism which poses the greatest threat to mankind today, and it is Muslim people who are suffering and downtrodden by their governments and mullahs. Another reason for our concentration on Islam is that I have friends in Muslim jails, also I have post-graduate qualifications in Islamic Studies while not knowing much about Christianity or Judaism.

Australia is not particularly racist. We have absorbed large numbers of Europeans, Vietnamese and Chinese, but Australians are wary of Muslims especially since September 11. It would not be impossible for a few al-Qaeda, etc to slip in and create havoc in our country. Who knows what proportion are fundamentalists? I have even had Australian Muslims agreeing with Qur’an (5:38), i.e. about amputation of hands. If they are prepared to be that inhumane then they could do anything.
